Dixie Edwards has been a Kalamazoo resident for 23 years. She has been a performer since age 3 and has worked in Kansas City, MO, Lansing, MI (Riverwalk Theatre, Lansing Community College) in Jesus Christ Superstar, Camelot, Mystery of Edwin Drood. In Kalamazoo she has worked at Western Michigan University (Tony & Tina’s Wedding) and extensively at the Kalamazoo Civic, most recently in As the World Goes Round. She has done work for Rhino Media, Chuck Bentley Productions, and Bare Backstage Productions.
Jordan Everette Boley is excited to be performing again, and in his debut with Bare Backstage Productions. He will be appearing in the role of Benjamin. He is no stranger to the stage, as he has performed in many plays and musicals at Mattawan High School, Paw Paw Village Players, Kindleberger, and the Kalamazoo Civic. His notable credits include Claude in Hair (PPVP), Brad in Rocky Horror Picture Show (PPVP), Rooster in Annie (PPVP), The Toymaker in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (Civic), Benjamin in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Mattawan), Francis Nurse in The Crucible (Mattawan), Sir Harry in Once Upon a Mattress (PPVP), along with ensemble roles in Hello Dolly, Psycho Beach Party
(Civic), Little Shop of Horrors (Kindleberger), Godspell, The Wiz, Hot Mikado (Mattawan). Jordan is a chemist by day, but loves to sing, and you will usually find him at the local karaoke bar. Jordan would like to thank his high school director David Hook for helping him find his love for music, his longtime
friend and choreographer Don Fialkowski for helping him find his love for musicals, RJ Soule and the cast and crew of this production for the opportunity, and last but not least: his parents Scott, Alana, and sister Kierstin, for always believing in him, supporting him, and being the three best people that he could
ever know.
Lars J Loofboro, a graduate of the Western Michigan University Theatre Department, makes his debut with Bare Backstage Productions in the role of Vincent. No stranger to the stage, he has an extensive theatrical resume which spans over 40 years performing in over one hundred productions. His theatre experience stems back to 1981 when he first began acting with the Kalamazoo Junior Civic with such productions as Aladdin and the Wonderful Lamp, The Trial of Tom Sawyer, The Incredible Jungle Journey of Fenda Maria and The Pied Piper. Since he embarked on his journey of honing his craft, he has worked in a myriad of theatre venues throughout South West Michigan. He was a resident company member for the Actors & Playwrights between 1992-1995 and the What A Do Theatre Company from 2014-2018 where he developed technical theatre skills and acted with many productions. During those years some of the highlight productions included The Glass Menagerie, Execution of Justice, Salome, Hamlet, The Dark Lady (API) and August: Osage County, Peter and the Starcatcher, 1984, The Tempest, Bus Stop, Frost/Nixon (WAD). His credits at WMU included The Pillowman, A Doll’s House, Moon over Buffalo and Esmoreit. Other acting credits have been with the New Vic Theatre, Kalamazoo Civic Theatre, Battle Creek Civic Theatre, South County Players, Center Stage Theatre, Great Escape Stage Company, Queer Theatre Kalamazoo, Face Off Theatre Company, Celery Flats Shakespeare in the Park, Paw Paw Village Players, and Three Rivers Community Players. Production Highlights include The Importance of Being Earnest, Psycho Beach Party, Billy Elliot, the Musical, Now Way Out, By the Way, Meet Vera Stark. Leading Ladies, Medea, The Imaginary Invalid, 33 Variations (KCT) Rimers of Eldritch, Caught in the Net, What the Butler Saw (NVT), Arsenic and Old Lace (GESC), Blithe Spirit (SCP) Barefoot in the Park, Chicago (CST) Step Three (QTK) You Can’t Take it with You, Guys and Dolls, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Drinking Habits (TRCP) Run for Your Wife (PPVP) Comedy of Errors, Romeo and Juliet, Two Gentlemen of Verona (CFSITP) . When Covid 19 shut down theatre, Loofboro continued to find ways to hone his craft with voiceover work with podcasts with Paw Paw Village Players. Voiceover credits include A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Anne of Green Gables, A Christmas Carol, Alice and Wonderland, Through the Looking Glass. He is grateful to RJ Soule for his continued mentoring of him and his trust in me to bring Vincent to life with his new play.
